Dr Suhas Kumar Shetty is an Ayurveda practitioner, academician, researcher & administrator who is specialized in Mental health, research methodology and medical statistics with experience of over 19 yrs. Currently he is holding a post of Principal and Medical Director at KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER)’s Shri BM Kankanawadi Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Belagavi. He is also an adjunct faculty at Southern California University of Health Sciences, California, USA. Formerly he was Professor & Head, Dept. of Mano Vijnana Avum Manasa Roga (Ayurveda Psychology and Psychiatry) and Dean (Research & Development) at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara (SDM) College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Hassan, India. He is a member of Board of management, Research advisory Council, Academic Council of KLE Academy of higher education and research, Belagavi. He is also Principal and Co investigator of more than 12 research projects sponsored by various Govt, industry and other funding agencies. He is an international invited speaker in various conferences and workshop across the globe and attracts health seekers from USA, England, Scotland, South Africa, Srilanka and various parts of India. He is in editorial & review board of many scientific journals. He has to his credit 3 books & more than 76 scientific articles in various international peer reviewed journals. He is recipient of various sacademic awards like contingent grant award from CCRAS, New Delhi, Pratibha Puraskara award for social service in treatment of alcoholic disorders and paralysis, Bhishak – 2018 best doctor award, Teacher of the year 2021 award, best paper presenter award at various seminars and conferences etc. to mention a few. He is an invited technical expert in various national and international policy documents and consultation meetings like WHO, CCIM, NCISM, CCRAS etc He is specialized in Mental health care Consultation, Clinical Research, Research methodology & Medical Statistics workshops, Examination & work place stress management workshops etc
