Course Overview
There is a need of more and more Ayurveda Massage therapists both in wellness – wellbeing industry as well in clinical centers for therapeutic massage. Training massage therapists is one of our main specialties of teaching where our faculty have over 30 years of experience in conducting massage therapy courses in Sri Lanka, Japan and the UK. The Ayurvedic massage is unique in the approach where the techniques go beyond the skin, muscular or circulatory levels to the subtle energy flow (prana, cakra and nadi) to enhance the relaxation and healing process within the individual.
This course is to provide comprehensive knowledge in the subject of Ayurveda Massage Therapy for relaxation and positive health promotion. in order to suit the needs of the modern world. Including a thorough knowledge of Ayurveda starting from its Basic Principles and also an in-depth knowledge in Massage Techniques both according to Traditional Ayurveda & Modern Practices. We will be teaching practical hands-on through training of authentic Ayurvedic massage techniques and the secrets of using herbal infused Ayurvedic massage oils where you will be able to become an educated, skillful, ethical and responsible Ayurveda Massage Therapist.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, you will be able to;
- Apply Basic Ayurvedic principles of Ayurveda Massage
- Demonstrate the importance of Bio-matrix of the in giving Ayurvedic massage
- Use Ayurvedic techniques to determine the Body constitution (Prakrti)
- Identify the physical and mental needs of the client in giving massage
- Select the correct Ayurvedic herbal oil appropriate for the individual
- Provide safe, effective and ethical massage in a highly professional manner
Course Content
This course consists of four modules taught over 24 weeks and a qualified massage therapist can complete the course in twelve weeks as basic human science module will be exempted.
Module 1: Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology for Massage Therapists
Module 2: Basic Principles of Ayurveda for Massage Therapists
Module 3: Principles of Ayurvedic Massage
Module 4: Practical Training in Ayurveda Massage
Further Study
You will have the opportunity to study further courses upon completing the Ayurveda Massage therapist course and minimum of six months of experience.
